Why this is the right tier for most people
Condoms last three to five years from manufacture, and less by the time they reach you. A box of 12 or 24 gets used within that window by almost anybody who uses condoms at all. A bag of 288 does not, unless you are buying for a household or a clinic.
The per-unit price at this tier is roughly half a three-pack and roughly double a bulk bag. That is a reasonable place to sit.

Storage, once you have a box
Keep the box somewhere cool and dark — a bedside drawer, not a car glovebox or a bathroom windowsill. Take one out when you need it rather than decanting a handful into a wallet.
Check the date on the individual wrapper, not just the box. They match, but the wrapper is what you are holding.
